Indigenous Peoples Day
We need global solidarity against settler- colonial annexation of Indigenous lands. The leaf compared maps of settler colonization by the United States and Israel. Targeting this leaf for defacement attempts to silence and disrupt Indigenous solidarity.
Take what you need…
Palestinians have learned in crisis to gather their collective strength through solidarity. Mutual aid is second nature to them. They are resilient, compassionate - and still defiant. We can learn this community spirit from them.
Olive harvest festival 2019
What a celebration! There was Musakhan - the olive oil and chicken harvest meal, sage tea on the fires, fresh olive oil from the press, taboun bread cooked over the coals in an olive wood oven. Live music - of course! - they dabked all day!
