Sesame roaster in front, grinder and mixer in the back for women’s za’atar making cooperative in Palestine
2016: Thanks to you we purchased a new za'atar grinder, mixer, and sesame roaster for the Al Jalama cooperative. With these machines, they are able to grind za'atar in their own village cooperative, plus produce more za’atar, increasing their income in two ways!
This money stays within the network of farming communities. The women, their families, and their village all harvest the benefits of your generosity. Shukran!
The new efficient za'atar grinder allows the women to control every step of their handmade za'atar and grow their business by grinding for other cooperatives. The sesame roaster will replace the slow and laborious process of hand roasting the sesame seeds in a kettle.
